Celebrating our swimmers of the week, critical deadline TODAY and next up on deck...

    Swim Team Friends,

For our first meet of the season, last night’s home meet against Vermack was an excellent start. We very much appreciate all of the “helping hands” that were involved along with the “generous hearts” that we witnessed cheering on swimmers, congratulating opponents, asking team reps how they could help, bringing in concessions, etc. We weren’t kidding…it takes a team and please know that we are thankful for each and every one of you.

Continuing with the positive momentum, we want to celebrate our very first Swimmers of the Week! It was announced at the ribbon ceremony this morning that Molly Wooden (11-12 girls) and Nico Muraro (11-12 boys) were this week’s recipients. Molly and Nico were recognized by the coaching staff based on their team spirit, work ethic, practice and meet performances, and all-around great attitude. Your Mountaire Park Barracudas Swim Team is very proud of you! Check out Molly and Nico on our website and FB page. And a special thanks to our sponsors Sky Zone of Roswell for providing our swimmers of the week with 60-minute jump passes and Baskin Robbins of Sandy Springs for offering a free one-scoop sundae!

If you are still decompressing from last night’s meet, we are happy to share with you that there is no rest for the weary. Welcome to swim team! :-) We’ve got some critical deadlines/announcements that we need to remind you of and you need to act on:

    1. Today, 5/29 from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM is a swim clinic focused on two hand touches and stroke techniques. This clinic is geared towards 7&Up. The swim team will have 2 lanes reserved for this clinic while the rest of the pool is open to the public. This clinic is free to attend – all you need to do is show up.
    2. DEADLINE TODAY (5/29) – You must declare your swimmer(s) TODAY by 5:00 PM for the 2nd swim meet on Tuesday, June 4th. If we do not have a declaration by 5:00 PM today, your swimmer(s) will not be able to participate in Tuesday’s meeting. Also, an important point on meet declarations – even if you are not planning to swim, you must declare your swimmer(s). Everyone must declare no matter if “yes” or no matter if “no”.
      • Not sure how to declare? Here’s a quick tutorial: click here https://mountairebarracudas.swimtopia.com/swim_meets >scroll down to the title of the meet you are declaring for and click on the green button that says “Meet Entry”>a window will pop up with your swimmer(s) names> pull down the drop box options for each swimmer to let us know if they are coming or not> then click save. YOU. ARE. DONE.
