Celebrating our swimmers of the week, critical deadline TODAY and next up on deck...
Swim Team Friends,
Our 3rd meet of the season and 2nd (and final) HOME meet of the season was completed last night. We hosted more than 350 people and thanks to you, we pulled it off with grace. YOU. GUYS. ROCK. I hope you know how much we appreciate you - every single one of you is the fabric that keeps this team closely knit. What can we say...we feel we have the best team in all the land. :-)
Continuing once again with the positive momentum, we want to celebrate our Swimmers of the Week (a total of 4 to announce since last week the team was busy fundraising)! It was announced at the ribbon ceremony this morning that JT Clark (11-12 boys) and Brielle Ringelberg (9-10 girls) received the awards for the week of June 5th and Carys Cooley (7-8 girls) and Conner Ryan (9-10 boys) for the week of June 12th. JT, Brielle, Carys and Conner attend practices regularly, support their teammates, have generated some mega points for the team and improved their times during meets PLUS a couple of them help the Team Reps and Coaches virtually every day when no one else is at the pool. Your Mountaire Park Barracudas Swim Team is very proud of you! Check out JT, Brielle, Carys and Conner on our website and FB page. And a special thanks to our sponsors Sky Zone of Roswell for providing our swimmers of the week with 60-minute jump passes and Baskin Robbins of Sandy Springs for offering a free one-scoop sundae!
Okay folks..down to business, we’ve got some critical deadlines/announcements that we need to remind you of and you need to act on:
- SWIM CLINIC TODAY(6/12) from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM - focus is finishes. This clinic is geared towards swimmers in all age groups. The swim team will have 2 lanes reserved for this clinic while the rest of the pool is open to the public. This clinic is free to attend – all you need to do is show up.
- MEET DECLARATION DEADLINE TODAY (5/29) – You must declare your swimmer(s) TODAY by 5:00 PM for the 4th swim meet taking place on Tuesday, June 11th. If we do not have a declaration by 5:00 PM today, your swimmer(s) will not be able to participate in Tuesday’s meeting. Also, an important point on meet declarations – even if you are not planning to swim, you must declare your swimmer(s). Everyone must declare no matter if “yes” or no matter if “no”.
- Not sure how to declare? Here’s a quick tutorial: click here https://mountairebarracudas.swimtopia.com/swim_meets >scroll down to the title of the meet you are declaring for and click on the green button that says “Meet Entry”>a window will pop up with your swimmer(s) names> pull down the drop box options for each swimmer to let us know if they are coming or not> then click save. YOU. ARE. DONE.
Next up on deck:
- Tuesday, June 11th: AWAY meet against Byrnwyck
- Wednesday, June 19th: 4:00 PM-5:00 PM (swim clinic: focus is on flip turns and is geared towards swimmers 7&Up)
