Swim Team Friends,

Well, what can we say, when it rains it pours. AND yet…we still build memories. Despite ending on event #16, we witnessed some really close races and had the opportunity to see some great friends at the meet. All is good guys. And thanks for sticking it out with us. In the end though, it was best to cancel the meet because the weather forecast continued to not look good and the rule is that every time it thunders the clock resets 30 minutes. Because the meet ended before the halfway point (which is around event 43), no one was winning the meet by more than 40 points and we are not rescheduling the meet since it is the final one of the season, the meet was a tie. Both teams get credit. At the end of the day, remember how fortunate we have been all season with weather. This is the only meet we have had weather issues - that's unheard of! 

A few housekeeping items:

1. For those swimmers in Divisionals this Wednesday, there is a practice with our coaches tomorrow from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM. Very important that you are there. And if you aren’t swimming in this meet, take a moment to recognize the 27 swimmers that are…these guys are rock stars!

2. Our ribbons and Swimmers of the Week ceremony will take place tomorrow at 10:00 AM. Swimmers of the week must be present to win.

3. If you volunteered at tonight’s meet, thank you. PLEASE RETURN VOLUNTEER SUPPLIES TO TEAM REPS TOMORROW AT PRACTICE. Very important that we account for our supplies as we need to use them again.
