Swim Team Friends, 

It is crazy to think our season is in its final 2 weeks. Here's your week ahead and an important announcement about the end-of-season awards banquet (invite attached): 

• PRACTICES: Monday, June 14th - Thursday, June 17th 
  • 8:30 AM-9:00 AM 6&U
  • 9:00 AM-9:45 AM 7-8
  • 9:45 AM-10:45 AM 9&UP 
• CONCESSION DROP OFF FOR MEET 4: Tuesday, June 15th 8:30 AM - 10:45 AM
  • PLEASE – read the item you signed up for very carefully and purchase exactly what is requested (size, brand, quantity).
  • Your concession items must be brought to the pool on Tuesday, June 15th between 8:30 AM – 10:45 AM (and placed on the table near the microwave in the upper pavilion). 
  • Concession Chair, Anne Koch, will be on deck to receive your items.
  • If there is an exception to the delivery time on an item, it will be clearly marked on the sign-up page.
  • When dropping off, please be sure your item is marked with your name so that we can check you off. 

• HOME IN-PERSON MEET AGAINST THE HAMMOND HILLS HAMMERHEADS, Tuesday, June 15th 4:30 PM
  • REMEMBER - WE SWIM IN RAIN! Plan to show up no matter the weather forecast.
  • We are going head-to-head and Coach Danielle and Coach Laney (Hammerheads' coach) are childhood besties who are SUPER competitive - :-))
  • 4:30 PM arrival athletes and 1st shift volunteers
  • 5:00 PM warm-up
  • 5:30 PM meet start
  • 6:30 PM approximate arrival for 2nd shift volunteers
  • Meet theme is Barracuda blues! Wear ALL your Barracuda gear...we need TEAM SPIRIT!!!!!!

• SWIM CLINIC: Thursday, June 16th (this will be our final clinic)
  • 4:00 PM-5:00 PM
  • Freestyle and backstroke
  • No need to RSVP, just show up (two lanes reserved for the swim team, the rest of the pool is open to members)

• RIBBONS & SWIMMER OF THE WEEK CEREMONY: Friday, June 17th
  • 9:30 AM-10:30 AM ALL AGES
  • There will be no after-ceremony swim this week

  • *This is just for swimmers that registered for the championship
  • 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM practice for ASA Championship Swimmers ONLY (ALL AGES)

• RIBBONS & SWIMMER OF THE WEEK CEREMONY: Tuesday, June 22nd
  • 9:45 AM-10:45 AM ALL AGES (NOTE: time change to accommodate ASA Championship practice before ceremony)
  • There will be no after-ceremony swim this week 

• ASA CHAMPIONSHIP: Wednesday, June 23rd and/or Thursday, 24th: Georgia Tech 
  • Final meet date/time to be announced on June 14th 
  • 9 AM -12:30 PM or 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Warm-up begins 90 minutes prior to each session start 
  • *This is just for those swimmers that registered 

• END-OF-SEASON AWARDS BANQUET: Thursday, June 24th 
  • *This event is ONLY open to athletes and their immediate family members. Please be respectful and do not invite friends or extended family. Thank you.
  • All attendees must have RSVPed by Friday, June 18th here
  • 5:00 PM-8:00 PM
  • We have a very special award and recognition ceremony planned for you along with a variety of pool games! BBQ will be served (vegetarian option as well) along with a sundae bar.
