Swim Team Families,

The 2022 season is officially underway!

Thank you to the more than 150 friends who attended our Coach’s Meet & Greet last week. Coaches Turner, Ellie, Molly, Stella and Palmer loved seeing you all. And a round of applause to Lauren Cohen (Special Events Chair for the Barracudas) who led the event! Outstanding. We also want to congratulate raffle winners Galit Baron (Girls 7/8) and Caroline Hammad (Girls 7/8)!

We completed new swimmer evaluations over the weekend and our team stands at 180 swimmers. We are blown away and looking forward to an amazing season with this group! Thank you for trusting your kids with us and sharing your summer schedule with the Barracuda family.

Now, there are 5 KEY ACTION ITEMS that we need you guys to jump on: (trust us, you do these, and you will be golden)

1) Order a team suit for your athlete by May 11th. Please be sure your swimmer is fitted and has the suit in hand prior to our first meet on May 31st. You have a couple of options on fittings:

• Reddiset (the company supplying the swim suits) has several shop locations that you can travel to with your swimmer. There is a size kit at the location and employees can help fit your child.
• Order online through The Barracuda Shop and utilize the online size chart (scroll down on the page to see girls and boys).

2) Bookmark our website and start marking your calendar with dates. The website has been loaded with ALL swim team dates – this includes practices, meets, time trials, socials, swim clinics, picture day, etc. This site is going to be the tool to make your life SO MUCH EASIER! We have purposefully gone out of our way to ensure the site is loaded with literally everything!

3) Download the SwimTopia app on your mobile device (from your app store) for easy phone access to our website. The system also provides you with real-time practice or meet cancellation plus urgent announcements.

4) Like the pool’s Facebook page to receive updates, announcements and more!

5) Mark your calendar for the Parents All-hands Meeting, set for Monday, May 9th from 7-8PM. Invite to follow.

Practice begins next Monday, May 9th, check the schedule for your age group.
