Mountaire Park Barracudas Swim Team Family,

We can't wait to get back in the water for the 2023 Summer swim season! The Mountaire Barracudas swim team is a great opportunity for your child to stay active and engaged during the summer months, while also developing valuable skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

Registration is open! Visit our website today. Save and sign up during Early-Bird registration March 1^st - April 15^th. Fees increase April 16^th- April 30^th. Registration end April 30^th. Information concerning the upcoming season has already begun to appear on the website. March 18th- First Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Sandy Springs- interested in walking or riding in our float sign up here for more details.

Coach's Meet & Greet event will take place April 16th from 1:00-3:00 PM.

New Swimmer Evaluations April 30^th 2-3pm and May 7^th 12-1pm

Practices start Monday, May 8^th, they are in the afternoon until May 24^th:

4:00 PM-4:45 PM 6&U/7-8 yr
4:45 PM-5:30 PM 9-10 yr
5:30 PM-6:30 PM 11&UP

Morning Practices begin May 26^th- June 26^th

8:30 AM-9:15 AM 6&U/7-8 yr
9:15 AM-10:00 AM 9-10 yr
10:00 AM-10:45 AM 11&UP

As a reminder, all new swimmers age 8 & under must participate in an evaluation prior to the start of the swim season. The evaluation helps us ensure that all swimmers meet the minimum safety requirements as defined by the Atlanta Swimming Association. We encourage parents of younger swimmers to sign up for swim lessons this spring and to spend some time in the pool prior to the swim team evaluations. New Swimmer Evaluation RSVP

We are trying to streamline some processes to make things easier for our families as well as ensure the team has everything it needs to run smoothly. Starting this year, instead of requiring families to sign up to bring concession items the day of each meet, we will be including a concession fee of $45 ($15 per meet) to cover the cost of all concession goods. Due to the increased prices of most grocery items, we felt this would be a more affordable option as we will be able to buys these items in bulk ahead of time. No one wants to be running around to 6 Walmarts for Airheads

Additional change, Wednesday practices following the swim meets will be ribbons, donuts, and games. Practice times remain the same, so there will be a practice per age group, but it will just be fun and relaxing.

In the meantime, before practice starts, please help us spread the word to your neighbors and friends about our great program. If you or someone you know may be interested in sponsoring the team, please let us know. We are actively looking for partners.
